February 22, 2016I had my first public campaign appearance and speaking engagement this evening at the “5 O’Clock Rush” concert series event, as part of Metropolitan United Methodist Church’s Black History month celebration. I shared my role in black history as the first recipient of the Michigan Supreme Court’s “Child Welfare Parents Attorney of the Year” award. I also shared my motto of “Fairness. Dignity. Respect” for all in the Wayne County judicial system. After the concert, I had the privilege of meeting Wayne County voters, many of whom signed my nominating petitions and enthusiastically pledged their support and commitment to “Go Green for Justice” in the August 2nd primary! I am grateful to each of them!

I am also grateful to Pastor Ray McGee for his invitation and warm hospitality, to Dwanda Ashford and Lynda McGhee for their help in coordinating and organizing the appearance, and to Angalio Kelley, Atty. Zanita Clipper, Atty. Shashu Polk, Bettye Wright, and Annie Kuykendall, who were on hand to gather petition signatures from Wayne County voters and tell them about my candidacy!

It was a great event, and a great effort for the campaign. GO TEAM GREEN!

Peace and Justice,
Tracy

As one guest described the event:

“Tracy’s 50th Birthday party was awesome!! You go girl!!! And of course, CT ’84 Represented!!!
